Install guide

Four steps, a couple of minutes. You need macOS 14 or later.

  1. Step 1

    Open the disk image

Double-click NiceTerminal-0.9.0.dmg in your Downloads folder. A window opens with the app and your Applications folder.

  2. Step 2

    Drag it to Applications

Drag the NiceTerminal icon onto the Applications folder. When it has copied, eject the disk image.

  3. Step 3

    Open it the first time

Open NiceTerminal from Applications or Spotlight. macOS asks whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Choose Open. It won’t ask again.

  4. Step 4

    Add nterm

In Settings › Application, choose Copy install command next to Command-line tool. Paste it into a terminal tab and enter your Mac password. Then nterm --version shows the version.

Updating. NiceTerminal updates itself in the app. You won’t need to do this again.
